Thanks to refrigerators, we can keep items fresh and stock up food and groceries for the entire week. However, what is normal nowadays was formerly luxury. The invention of the fridge led to a genuine revolution that transformed many traditions: “Like no other kitchen appliance the refrigerator changed eating habits as well as our current food supply,” said Kirk Mangels, CEO of the Association ÔÇÖDie Modern Kitchen e.V.ÔÇÖ, Mannheim, Germany.
In 2013, H├Ącker K├╝chen will be presenting itself at LivingKitchen for the first time. “We are expecting our participation in LivingKitchen to result in a noticeable strengthening of our international sales ÔÇô and boost domestic business too, of course,” says managing partner Jochen Finkemeier of the company’s first trade fair appearance in Cologne.
From 14th to 20th January 2013, the R├Âdinghausen-based kitchen manufacturer will be showcasing its new cabinet fronts, colours and functions at LivingKitchen. At booth C21/B26 in Hall 4.1, the company will be presenting a total of eight kitchens in a space of 720 square metres.┬á
How do we want to live? How are our wants, needs and habits changing ÔÇô and what might the household appliances of the future look like so as to accommodate these changes? With Fireplace and FreshConnect, Bauknecht is presenting two design studies that provide some potential answers to these questions.
“These design studies could serve as inspiration for completely new product generations that are fundamentally different from the household appliances we know today,” explains Marten van der Mei, Marketing Director at Bauknecht. “Fireplace and FreshConnect introduce two concepts that not only use new technologies but which, more importantly, pick up on important trends that will shape our daily lives in the future.”
Fireplace: The hearth of the 21st century
The Fireplace design study addresses the desire for more togetherness and interaction while cooking and eating. The focal point is a multifunctional table with a central digital cooking zone ÔÇô the modern hearth ÔÇô and a hood that serves as an air exchanger and creates different lighting and aroma moods. The height of both elements can be adjusted to ensure optimal ergonomics and accommodate different usage occasions.
