LivingKitchen 2013: more international exhibitors, innovations and new products

In less than 60 days, the global kitchen industry will be gathering in Cologne. LivingKitchen is the sector’s most important international business event and provides a good indication of how business will develop in the near future. This is where the trends and new product launches of the coming season are shown.

With 175 exhibitors now expected to participate, the coming edition is set to be even more comprehensive and will represent companies from more than 20 countries, with the share of foreign exhibitors thus rising to 40 % (25 % in 2011). This signals the steadily growing international significance of LivingKitchen. In 2013, Italy will be represented by a gratifyingly strong contingent. Four major Italian kitchen manufacturers – DADA (Molteni), Minotti Cucine, Lago and Riva 1920 – have decided on a joint presentation of their products under the motto “Ambiente Cucina”.

Brita-filtered water from Franke taps

Besides supplying unfiltered hot and cold water, the three-way, solid stainless steel taps Franke Wellfresh 100 and 110 provide cold Brita-filtered water as well. The filtered water runs through its own pipe inside the taps and is dispensed by means of a separate lever. The technology required for the filtering process is space-savingly installed under the sink, where the Brita P 1000 filter cartridge is also stored.

All internationally popular kitchen brands to appear at LivingKitchen 2013

A strong kitchen sector requires a similarly strong trade fair platform. The internationally renowned German kitchen sector and other key global players in the kitchen industry have found a new home at LivingKitchen. Following the impressive premiere event in 2011, LivingKitchen 2013 will be the next big kitchen event for exhibitors and visitors. The attractive economic conditions for Europe’s largest kitchen market, Germany, are putting the representatives of kitchen companies in a good mood, as all the signs indicate that market growth will be significant in 2012. These are ideal conditions for the successful continuation of LivingKitchen in January 2013.

“Germany is in demand worldwide as a production location and for its associated expertise in kitchen and furniture construction. This expertise is clearly represented in Cologne. That’s why the city is the ideal place for international trade fairs like imm cologne / LivingKitchen,” says one exhibitor 100 days after imm cologne 2012. Germany has a decades-long tradition of producing kitchen furniture, appliances and accessories. This tradition is widely known and greatly appreciated far beyond Germany.
