Even before the last day of the fair on 20th January, one thing is already certain: Cologne has established itself as an international venue for the kitchen industry. An excellent mood amongst the participating companies and visitors plus new launches and trends as far as the eye could see – LivingKitchen 2013 has impressively proved its worth as an exhibition format and reaped top marks in many areas.
“The second edition of LivingKitchen has been truly successful. We have seven outstanding days behind us, during which the kitchen – the focal point of people’s lives – has found its home in Cologne once and for all,” says CEO of Koelnmesse Gerald B√∂se. “In the three halls dedicated to the show, the sector has once again demonstrated just how much innovativeness, sophisticated design and quality it has to offer. I’m confident that, in the months to come, this will have a very positive impact on our exhibitors’ order books. LivingKitchen isn’t just a powerhouse for trends, innovation and design, it’s also the most important business platform in the global kitchen market”. Frank H√ľther, managing director of AMK, couldn’t agree more: “LivingKitchen 2013 is every bit the highly deserved joint success that the kitchen industry and Koelnmesse had been hoping for: an international kitchen event in a class of its own.”
Ambiente Cucina¬†is an exhibition area organised by¬†Koelnmesse Italia¬†during LivingKitchen, the International Kitchen event that is being held in parallel with imm cologne 2013, with the intention of offering a snapshot of the best examples of ‚ÄúMade in Italy‚ÄĚ in the world of kitchen furniture.
Five leading Italian brands¬†Dada,¬†Ernestomeda,¬†Lago,¬†Minotti Cucine¬†and¬†Riva 1920¬†will display some of the most significant models of their collections in an extremely dynamic space, shared cleverly with¬†‚ÄúBarrique, a new life for wood‚ÄĚ, the project created by¬†San Patrignano¬†community, challenging 30 leading architects and designers to create the design item of their choice using recycled wood taken from the community‚Äôs old wine casks.
At the kitchen platform LivingKitchen, which is dedicated to the international furniture fair imm cologne, Warendorfer K√ľchen GmbH will be presenting five kitchens with a unique living room feel and featuring a new standard drawer height to visitors from the industry and the general public.
The new dimension ‚ÄėWarendorf 16‚Äô is based on multiples of a new 16 cm standard drawer height to give a base unit height of 80 cm. Applied to all units, it makes kitchen planning much quicker and easier as it is absolutely consistent throughout and remains unaffected regardless if the solution is with or without handles. Visually, ‚ÄėWarendorf 16‚Äô transforms kitchens into living spaces and lends them an even greater elegance and harmony.
