Peet Boon designs luxury kitchen line for Warendorf

Following Warendorf’s successful collaboration with iconic designer Philippe Starck, the kitchen manufacturer is now adding Dutch designer Piet Boon to its portfolio. The new kitchen designs will make their public debut at the new “KitchenZone” flagship store in September.

The new showroom is just a few steps away from the designer’s creative studio in North Amsterdam where, together with his wife and business partner Karin, Piet Boon heads a team of designers, architects and stylists. The design studio’s credo: to create functional, timeless furniture that conveys a sense of snugness. The kitchen line Boon has designed for Warendorf bears the same hallmark. The simple, geometric design vocabulary and restrained use of colour aim to give the design creations a naturally distinguished and elegant look: thanks to its straightforwardness, the collection will easily outlast short-lived trends. The exclusive luxury kitchen line by Piet Boon is a reflection of Warendorf’s self-image as a manufacturer that makes kitchens for personalities. “The new kitchen line has a timeless appeal and is totally in line with global design expectations,” says Thorsten Prée, CEO of Warendorfer Küchen GmbH, of the new collection. And there’s plenty of time for the designer and manufacturer to intensify their collaboration before the next LivingKitchen, which will take place in the halls of Cologne Exhibition Centre parallel to the imm cologne from 14.-20.1.2012.
